The Spanx Deal
In 2000, Sara Blakely founded Spanx, which quickly grew and was recognized publicly by celebrities, such as Oprah Winfrey. Today, Spanx can be found in more than 50 countries around the world.
In 2021, The Blackstone Group announced it would acquire a large stake in Spanx giving a company a valuation of approximately $1.2B.
