The Etraveli Deal
In 2000, the travel company, Etraveli (formerly known as Seat24), was founded in Sweden. Over the next 20+ years, the company was owned by multiple private equity firms that would eventually exit their investment in Etraveli at times where other investors were in a better position to create value to the company.
Investors, you should continually re-evaluate if you are the best owner for a company that you are invested in. In the event that there is another investor that can add more value in the future to the company than you can, that investor may be willing to buy the company for an amount that you would want to sell it for.
